Porcelain Zombies

It’s October.  Halloween approaches.  So what better time to love these porcelain figurines with a twist.  Created by Jessica Harrison.  Check out these a bunch of other super, stuff.

Small is huge

Can’t get enough of these tiny cement sculptures put around town by Spanish artist Isaac Cordal.  His newest batch is called Cement Eclipses.  See the whole bunch here and be amazed.

Know a good taxidermist?

Is it wrong for me to want this little bastard shot and stuffed?  I appreciate a client trying to latch onto a mascot (ahem, the Gecko) … but this CarFax/CarFox thing is just unbearable.

Awesomely awesome.

Jealous of this idea.  Damn I wish we thought of it.  By Saatch in Tel Aviv.

True. So true

It’s harder to be pretentious when you’re moving really fast.

— Steven Soderbergh

May the Geek be with you?

over 250 blueprints of the ship, Jabba the Hut’s palace, and more.  336 pages and 500 photos.  Wow.  This is the kinda stuff that gets our heads scratching at maZINEry.  Blueprints for stuff that doesn’t really exist?  Yet it’s pretty darn cool and, we’re sure, is catnip for fans.  Well done.  We think.  See more here.

Steve Jobs and his many patents

Great piece in the NYTimes about Steve Jobs’ many, many patents.  313, to be exact with his name on it.

Absolut-ly cool

Designer (firm?) Jorn took a stab at what certain products would look like as milk cartons.  Not sure why, except to make something very cool.  Check ’em at his (their?) site.

Chris Sembrot

The bad news?  Our good buddy, photographer Chris Sembrot is moving from Philly to outside of NYC.  The good news? He’s even a bit closer to some of our clients … and shooting our next job in two weeks.  Yay!  He has a ton of different styles.  Check em at his website.  Adios brother.

Less is more

We’re so digging these minimalist movie posters from Patrik Svensson.  See the whole series on his site, Prince Hat.
